The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever tasted. (Also, the best chocolate chip cookies everyone I know has ever tasted.) And that’s why you are simply going to make these over and over again, because there is nothing better than a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie.

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 sticks soft butter
  • ¾ cup of white sugar
  • ¾ cup of brown sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract 
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups of chocolate chips (14oz) 

Let’s get started!

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In a large bowl, with an electric mixer, cream together the softened butter and both sugars.
  3. Once fully combined, add the eggs one at a time, and then add the vanilla extract.
  4. Sift in the flour mixture, until well combined. If the dough is still sticky, you may need to chill the dough in the refrigerator for a little.
  5. Now the fun part! Add the chocolate chips. Be careful not to overmix, then the chocolate chips might start coloring the dough
  6. Scoop and roll the cookies dough to doughballs, and then gently flatten them a little bit.
  7. Bake for 7-9 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let them cool directly on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing them to cool completely. (Unless you want to eat one hot.)
  9. Enjoy! You can eat them directly from the oven or let then cool to room temperature.
